I usually back up a little, then jack the brakes hard. Because hands are for plebes.

I’m more worried about the door check to be honest.

Yep. My kids spend most of their time in a minivan, but when they ride in the back of my car, they have a hard time reaching and/or pulling the heavy hinged doors closed. My son LOVES this reverse-brake trick. Maybe I should do it while he's holding a glass of water, then I could be a YouTube Dad :D

It seems YoutubeDad has become an ever expanding role. Just film all the little quirky interactions with kids. People eat it up.

I used to do this in our minivan.

Don’t think so... I used to do this regularly to a 2002 Montana...
If anything happens as a result of this it’ll be the next owner’s problem by then.

I’ve done that like once because the door wouldn’t stay open, so I kicked the fuck out of it and it slammed on my foot.
